What makes the PSA Dagger so different is the fact that it comes with a $299 price tag. This price makes it very attractive considering the Glock can be $500 plus dollars.

Well, that's why I'm going to do a full PSA Dagger review. I think it's important to preface this by saying that I purchased this PSA dagger and while we sometimes work with PSA, I purchased this directly from MSRP.
First of all, the PSA Dagger comes in a cardboard box with foam cut out for the rifle.
Once it's open, you can remove the gun, remove the chamber flag, and the lid holds all your manuals and other information. You can pull out the bottom and there you will find your magazine and other accessories from the Palmetto, including your Gun Lock.
PSA did a great job with the box, the opening, the presentation, it's all very good. It is very well done. It doesn't come in a plastic case, but if you're like me, you don't really care about plastic cases because you won't use them anyway.

I usually have to hide them somewhere if I ever decide to sell the gun, which I no longer do.
My first thought when I picked up the PSA Dagger was, is this a Glock or is this a Sig?
It's very interesting because it looks like a Glock, but I think what threw me off was the grip design.
So when I held it up, I was like, man, this looks like a SIG. But the more I held it, the more I was like, well, this gives you the feel of a SIG-designed Glock.

It's a really interesting feel to the gun and I really like it. So I was very pleased with the overall initial impression of a $300 gun.
Now the overall beauty and look is like a Glock. There is a slight difference in the slide cut.
I think you get a slightly different finish than on the Glock or others. Comes with Magpul magazine. So no branded mags and you can run a regular Glock mag in it.
You have the standard removal method, you have your magazine version, which is done like Gen 3 with a little PSA touch.

There is a stack in the middle of the handle that the Gen 3s are known for. The slide has a unique design, but does not have Palmetto State Armory markings on it. It's a simple, clean slide. I like it.
Now the Palmetto State Armory has all of its trap information. The serial number on the pistol is in the same place it would be on a Glock and the sights are just standard three white dot sights with no night sights.
Also, there are no Palmetto State Armory markings on the slide, it has no front and rear serrations.
Overall, the gun feels good, the slide reminds me somewhat of the blocky design of the SIG P320, but at the same time, it still looks like a Glock.

It doesn't have rounded corners on the slide, it actually has more edges than the SIG.
It definitely has the same design as the SIG P320. However, it has the ergonomics of a Glock Gen 3.
I really like what Palmetto did with the handle design. It has a small Palmetto State Armory logo on the lower right corner of the handle, on the left and right, it will be in the lower left corner.
It's visually obvious as well as very nice and porous and allows for a good grip on the gun.

Installing your basic grip is very easy and overall I think they did a good job with the grip.
The PSA dagger sights are a little disappointing, but for $300, I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting.
I guess I'm used to seeing guns that come with night sights. So when I found out that the PSA Dagger doesn't have night sights, I was a little surprised.
The good news is that you can swap them out with any Glock sights since they haven't changed their design in years. Therefore, these are definitely changing.

One thing I would say I would do if it was in stock is buy a red cut slide.
That's only $80 more and I would definitely go that route if that was the case when ordering this gun.
Stock sights are not my favorite sights. I prefer no rear dot in the front and one dot in the front as well.
I haven't had any issues with them though. I took it out and shot it and we'll get to the actual shooting of it. But as for the sights, they are accurate, they were, they had no problem reaching the targets.

So the sights once again, well, well, we'd like to see them as nighttime sights. But again, I think the price level may rise.
The magazine on this gun is nothing to write home about, it's just a Magpul Glock 19 magazine. There is nothing wrong with that.
It's just one of those, but then again, you're buying a $300 gun. This is in the range of the Taurus and many other rifles, but you are going to get a Glock quality product for $300.
Now, if you have a Glock 19, and you've carried a Glock 19 since they released the Gen 3 version, you already use tons of Glocks.

So I'm good magazine-wise. I have no problems with Magpul magazines and so far this one has worked great.
As I said, underneath the visual part, this is something that I think everyone should know about.
I think you should consider getting the optic ready version. The gun world is likely to become a red dot. I don't blame them, it's amazing.
If you haven't done it, try it, maybe you won't like it at first, I don't. But shoot, because it's a really, really, good way to shoot a gun.

Once you get the hang of it, your accuracy will increase tenfold and I don't think you'll ever go back to not having a scope gun.
That being said, get the PSA cut slide from the factory for $80 more. You won't save any money if you get it elsewhere.
Even some of the cheapest slide mills I know of charge up to a hundred dollars to cut a slide. So don't try to save money here. PSA has already done that for you. Go ahead and get the RMR cut slide.
So let's talk about the meat and potatoes of any gun, and that is the controls. The controls on this pistol are once again Glock Gen 3.

You've got your magazine release, you've got your takedown in the middle of the slide, where you can pull the gun out and put it away.
You also have your slide version and magazine version and those are the basics of the gun. You have your trigger too. So let's dive in, starting with the magazine version.
The magazine release on this pistol does not last long. It is very easy to suppress and does not have the same design as the Glock Generation 3.
The handle frame has a cutout for it where the thumb can fit. Nothing special, it works.

It sets the mag for what you can expect from this pistol since the scope is based on the Glock.
However, they are not identical to the Glock Gen 5. So this is the left side of the gun.
I prefer the double-decker style slide stop release because it makes it easier to pull the slide release down.
There is nothing to hold your finger. It's as stock as you can get, but it works.

No problems with that, you can lock the wizard easily. You can leave it free, easily.
It works great, but just know it's a replacement part for a $300 gun. It won't surprise you.
The trigger on the PSA Dagger is probably the only part of this gun that disappointed me so much.
Everything else is about what I expect from a $300 gun. Actually, the trigger is terrible.

Probably the worst boost I've ever experienced. They use the Smith and Wesson M&P trigger design where it pivots in the middle versus something like this.
