Middle School Assault - BEAUFORT, S.C. (WCSC) - Beaufort Police say a high school principal reported an assault at the school last week after seeing the incident on social media.
Lady's Island High School Principal Kashta Campbell reported the incident at the school Wednesday to police after a staff member showed him a Snapchat video, Beaufort police said in a statement.

The principal told police the two students called it a "minor disagreement," but he disciplined both students.
Former Brownsville Middle School Teacher Pleads Guilty In Sex Assault Case
In a statement to police, one of the students said in front of class that she and a friend walked behind another student and told her that he was "walking slowly." "She then started saying she was slow and kept talking about being slow," but it was said as a joke, according to the report.
The student complained to the teacher that another student was picking on her, who said she was just joking.
But on Wednesday, at the end of class, one student pulled another's hair, angering her, and a fight broke out, the report said.
Another student said in her statement to police that her classmate told her she needed to talk to her about something, but there were too many people around. At the end of class, she said, she asked her to follow her into the locker room, and that's when the student recalled that her classmate "grabbed her hair and pushed her to the ground." She said that when she stood up, another student pushed her and started kicking and threatening her.

The report states that after the student got up and left the room, she told the teacher what happened.
A third student interviewed said in a statement that one of the students gave her a note asking if she had recorded a "fight" between two students. A third student said one of the two people involved in the fight told her it was going to happen at a dance and to "be prepared."
Nothing happened during the dance class, a third student said, but she did manage to catch one student flipping her hair just in time.
Beaufort police say a sixth-grader caught on camera punching another student will face charges in the incident.
Girl Claims Teacher Tried To Sexually Assault Her, And She Got Away By Stabbing Him With A Pencil
The incident report describes a 30-second video of the larger student grabbing the smaller student's tail and pulling her.
One student says, “You don't like it when people do that to you, do you? You wouldn't like it, would you?"
When the smaller student is able to stand up and tries to pass, she is hit in the face, falls backwards and appears to "hit her head on the concrete wall and then on the floor." the report states. She appears to hit a wooden bench with her left hand as she falls, the report said.
"While on the floor, a white student grabs her left arm and curls her into a fetal position," the report states. When the older student stands over her, she says, "I'm going to hurt you," then kicks the girl in the back, the report said.
